The application and admission process for Master applicants with relevant previous studies in Germany is carried out exclusively via the PRIMUSS applicant portal of Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt.

Important facts for all Master applicants
The qualification requirements of all the master courses are named in the respective study and examination regulation (usually in § 3, § 4 or § 5).
All the study and examination regulations can be found on the pages of our legal department.
Some of the study and examination regualtions unfortunately only are available in German.
Decisions regarding equivalence are made from the respective examination board after an application was submitted with all the demanded documents and checked from the employees of the university.

In detail you need to take the following steps:
- Register in PRIMUSS application portal (link can be found above)
- fill questions
- add study course(s)
- upload demanded documents
- send application online
It is not necessary to send documents by post.
However, Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences reserves the right to request the documents additionally as officially certified copies.
For your application you do not have to submit certified copies of your documents.
It is absolutely sufficient to scan your documents and upload them in the PRIMUSS-application portal.

Please apply online within the application period, upload the demanded documents online (you will only be asked for a current transcript in case you answered all questions truthfully), and send application online.
The final degree can be submitted later.
Yes. Changes in the upload-area as well as in the application-progress area in the PRIMUSS-application portal will be displayed instantly after an employee of the university checked on your application.

Important facts for specific Master applicants
Only applicants with a Bachelor’s course equivalent to a German study course with 210 ECTS can access the Master courses of the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt.
With a Bachelor’s Degree with 180 ECTS admission to the Master courses of the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt is not possible.
However the regulations of the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt provide the possibility of compensating the missing competences through working experience after graduating. The duration of the working experience must be at least 20 weeks full-time (and as already mentioned after graduating from the Bachelor). Please upload proof of your working experience in the upload area of the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. As soon as the status of the document turns to „OK“ we checked on it and your working experience is sufficient.

Except from the German-taught Master course Applied Research in Engineering Science all the aptitude tests are tests where applicants don't have to appear in person. They have to upload documents proving their experience in the core area of the Master course in the PRIMUSS-application portal.
